ELIZAS TURN

Another friday another sleep over. This time it was Eliza. Dad and I went and picked her up and brought her over to my house. She ran around and did some exercises (they really love the treadmill) while I got some dinner ready. I got the soup on the stove simmering and I went outside to check on her and the first thing I noticed when I got to the door was a strong smell of gasoline. I got in the garage and saw a big puddle by the backdoor. When I got outside I saw her playing in the rocks and the gas can on the floor by the door. Some one left the gasoline in her reach. Adults. Well after cleaning up that mess and the soup we went in and had dinner. Then we went out side and played until it got too dark to stay out then we watched a little sponge bob (only for them) til it was time for bed. This lovely girl woke up at 5 or 6 I cant remember but it was too early. We got up had breakfast and proceeded to dance around the living room for most of the morining. Later on that day Evelyn dropped off Deacon.
To make a long narrative just a tich shorter. Played all day til Eliza went to Grandma P's to spend the night and Deacon stayed again at my house.
BEST 2 WEEKEND I HAVE HAD IN A FOREVER!!!
THANK YOU EVELYN, DEACON AND ELIZA.

GIRLS NIGHT/SLEEP OVER

Ok time set Friday ( I believe it was the 12th.) we had a girls night Mom, Evelyn and myself. Mom and I were on our way to pick up Evelyn and discovered instead of a girls night it would be date night. We had a very handsome gentleman go with up out for our girls night. We went to Craigos and saw the movie UP. It was really nice just hanging out with Evelyn (we should definitly do this again). Ok I loved the movie which just shows that I will be 50 years old watching disney movies and what ever kiddie thing is out those days. After the movie we took Evelyn back to her parents house.
Ok now that Deacon is 4 I decided I would ask Evelyn what she thought of Deacon spending the night. Whew she said yes and how about tonight. I am sure it was a little hard her little man is getting big and to be old enough to spend the night must have been a new experence. We came home and got everything set we stayed up for maybe an hour or a little more before it was time for bed. It went really good (except that I had to change the sheets at 2 in the morn but I digress). We woke up and had breakfast watched maybe 5 minutes of a cartoon and off we were. Deacon did his morning treadmill exercises which actually continued on and off most of the day. Then my dad came over and mowed the lawn. Deacon and I sat outside and watched dad mow the lawn. In the middle of him mowing the lawn it started to rain (surprised me neither) so I went and got my umbrella for us and Deacon decided he wanted to follow grandpa mowing the lawn. It was so funny when grandpa would unexpectadly stop as shown in the pic. Then Grandpa needed to take one of the mowers to get fixed and Jordans work so we all (mom, deacon, and myself) hoped in the truck and headed off to Cal Stores. We decided we were hungary so we (GP, GM, Shonie, Deacon and Andy) went to Perkins. Then Deacon and I went back to my house and he exercised the rest of the day. Seriously making me look bad. DIGRESS!!! Evelyn came late and picked him up.

NO MORE CASUAL FRIDAYS!!

Ok today we got informed by a mass email that Fridays will no longer be casual Friday. Ugh!! I will have to wear scrubs Monday thru Friday. There is just one thing the new dress code is a little funny to me. It says no jeans, tank tops, flip flops. Ok I'll except that it makes sense this is a doc's office but no visors, work out wear, running shorts how wrong is this. I find myself thinking back and trying to remember if anyone wore any of these here. I am guessing maybe Saturday. One thing it also states that if we work on our "days off" we have to wear appropriate attire aka scrubs. There have been times where I have had to run in on my days off to do something, fix something, according to the new dress code does that mean that if at 10:25 on my day off they call me and I run over there do I need to quickly change into some scrubs run in fix whatever then leave and change back into my casual day off clothes. Just a thought I might just start wearing scrubs all the time. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Shocker

Ok this morning I looked at my emails (like I really need more than one but whatever) I clicked on the one from my cousin and to my shock it was a friend invite to facebook. This is the same cousin who said he would never ever get a facebook account. So I got a stupid myspace page which I have never really takin the time or really cared to figure out (not a shonie friendly site) just so I could keep up with what is going on with him. I am trying to make more of an effort to stay in touch with family and friends. My past would show that I truly suck at keeping in touch. I just don't have anything to say. Can you say extremely boring and has no life (stick a pic of me there). Anyway its great to be able to keep up with him.

SOAP BOX!!!

Ok I have to get on my soap box about this but what in the world is wrong with hollywood do they not have an original idea. It seems like all they can do is make remakes of movies. These remakes usually suck but come on. I just found out they are remaking one of my favorite movies (a movie not appreciated when it came out) Ice Castles I love this movie heck I own it. I am not saying it is the perfect movie out there but I LOVE IT! Lets look back at a few of the remakes that I personally feel do not even come close to being as good as the originals.
Nutty Professor, Freaky Friday, Born Yesterday, That Darn Cat, Doctor Zhivago, Great Gatsby, Guess Whose Coming to Dinner, Journey to the Center of the Earth. Ok my point is made all remade movies. Don’t get me wrong some are good, some are even great but over the last few years its been remakes, reimagined, re, re. I LOVE ORIGINAL MOVIES!!! I will watch and like remakes.

Here is a look at some that are either in talks of remaking or in production and what I think of the idea.

Karate Kid- No way
Top Gun- What are you nuts
Fame – Ok
Footloose- ok
Starfighter- um maybe
Tron-possibly could be better
Romancing the Stone-On the fence original rocked!!

**Although I have to admit Race to Witch mountain was good it helped that they changed practically everything. Characters names, locations, reason for the kids being chased and why they were being chased. It was a different. Loved the cameos by the actors that played Tia & Tony**

Travel

I have the travel bug. Every once in a while I get antsy. I get in the mood to get in the car and just go. Now there are a couple of obstacles in my need for an adventure.

1) A vehicle - If you know me and my mom you know yes I own a truck and no I never get to drive it. My mother and I car pool but because of where we live and gas my mother gets to drive my truck and I get to pay for it.

2) Money it is a very necessary need. Gas, hotel, food. All of these are necessities to a good trip. So that is basically it.

Right now I am really wanting to see what is out west. I have been to Spokane and now I would like to try Seattle, or Portland. I definitely want to go to the beach (in WA or OR. nor Cali.) I have been looking online and that is never good. This makes me want to go even more.

MY ABSOLUTE PLACE I WANT TO GO: Vancouver, Canada. I would love to drive there, but there is something about flying into a new city. Very exciting.

Well It's a dilemma...
